Let’s hunt the Northern Lights together
What is the Aurora Hunting?
The hunt for the Northern Lights is an evening-night trip to observe Mrs. Aurora away from the city lights. The northern lights are an amazing spectacle of colored light visible in the night, cloudless sky. Auroras are the result of disturbances in the magnetosphere caused by solar wind. We always wait for moments when disturbances are strong enough to alter the trajectories of charged particles in solar wind and magnetospheric plasma. These particles, mainly electrons and protons, precipitate into the upper atmosphere (thermosphere / exosphere). The northern lights can be seen from September to April. The only conditions are suitable solar radiation conditions, night (it is not always night in Iceland) and at least partially clear skies. We organize hunting in the Reykjanes Peninsula (Reyjkavik and Keflavik area), the Golden Circle and the Snaefellsnes Peninsula
