What is the Landmannalaugar? Landmannalaugar is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in Iceland. Some say that it is Iceland’s showcase and a symbol of its uniqueness. Such opinions are justified – the Rainbow Mountains can be found only in a few places in the world. Beautiful hiking trails begin (or end) here. Landmannalaugar is already in the highlands, can only be reached by a 4×4 vehicle, and at the same time is so close to Reykjavik. It is a sin to avoid this place. Due to the seasonal road opening, access to Landmannalaugar is possible from June to October.
